Marc, it is definitely never to late to learn the alphorn. If you have played a brass instrument before you can pick it up quickly. If not, you'll just need to get some additional practice to get going. Good luck, and let me know if you get up the courage to try it out.

M'dame Jo, thanks for the tip. I'll have to check out the Coop and Migros as well. It's crazy how simple things can bring such joy when you are 'away from home.'

I like the ones that don't require tying a knot, but close up by themselves as they fill up :)

Kathy, you can find ice "cubes" gabs anywhere (coop, migros, manor) they're widely use in swiss homes.

Hard copies are always darker, or at least less saturated that the soft copy. It's the good old additive (RGB monitor) vs. subtractive (CMYK print) colors. You can try to cheat by making your image a bit lighter before sending it to the printer, but the results can vary. Plus your blue is too saturated to be printed as it looks on a screen. This explains the issue quite well: http://marvin.mrtoads.com/rgb_vs_cmyk.html

Hope that helps.

You're welcome. To be honest, I don't know who everyone is. But I kept a red 10 francs bill with Euler on it. I know I have it... somewhere.
